Transport Art UK
Limited Edition Digital Art from original photographs printed as A3 or A4 prints and signed by the Photographer Artist
Limited Edition runs normally are 25 only of each print and all prints are numbered 1 of 25, 2 of 25 etc.
Some images are unique as the number of the unit/carriage/loco is changed on each image and the run amounts to the number of actual units in the class.
Photographer and Artist Mike Swift said 'I was inspired by David Hockney's use of the iPad to create digital art and being a photographer and a transport fan I thought I could combine the two interests. I have been very pleased with the feedback from people in Facebook groups I joined, initially just to show off the work. However I have been inundated with requests for both prints and particularly tee shirts so I have decided to offer them all for sale in a more organised manner'
Pictures can be customised in some caes and in a recent example a trains livery was changed to a retro style earlier colour scheme and the driver of the train was made to look like the purchaser of the picture who was a retired driver who used to drive the particular unit in the image.
At the recent Reading Buses Open Day four A3 framed prints were donated to sell for Autism Berkshire and raised £120 pounds for the charity.
